Iran says it delivered plan to US via Qatar, rejects threats

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said his country has delivered a plan to the United States through Qatar, noting that the next steps are now up to Washington and that Iran will not accept coercion or threats.

Speaking from the United Nations headquarters in New York on Friday, Araghchi stated, "Iran has conveyed to the United States, via Qatar, a concrete seven-day plan. If the necessary conditions are met, the strait could be reopened and transit could return to normal within seven days."

He added, "The choice now lies with the United States. Iran does not accept oppression, threats, or intimidation, and will not relinquish its sovereign rights under pressure."
