US Vice President Vance to attend Trump-Netanyahu White House meeting after criticism of Israeli groups

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that US Vice President JD Vance will attend the scheduled meeting on Tuesday between President Donald Trump and Netanyahu at the White House.

According to the Times of Israel, Netanyahu's office stated that the prime minister will also hold meetings with senior US officials after attending the memorial service for late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.

The meeting between Vance and Netanyahu comes a week after Trump's vice president escalated his rhetoric against certain Israeli groups, accusing them of orchestrating a broad influence campaign targeting him personally to disrupt the Trump administration's diplomatic efforts to reach a deal ending the war with Iran, according to Euronews.

In an interview with podcast host Joe Rogan, Vance emphasized that "external pressures will not affect his decisions, and that his priority remains representing Americans first."

Similarly, Time magazine previously published a report on a pro-Israel influence campaign, which it said was funded by the Israeli government and targeted young Americans in the "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) base, aiming to stem declining support for Israel among conservatives. Vance commented on the magazine's report, saying that "Time's revelations about foreign influence campaigns prompted him to reassess the extent of external interference in the negotiations."

The US vice president added: When I read in Time about a funded influence campaign to sabotage the agreement I was working on, and see some beneficiaries of that money attacking me in underhanded ways, my response is simple: Go to hell. I will continue to do what I see as my duty to the American people. I represent Americans first.
