Yemeni forces warn of Houthi threat to civilian aircraft

Yemeni forces have warned that the Houthi militia is targeting civilian aircraft using Iranian-made cruise missiles.

Yemeni military spokesperson Colonel Majed Al-Nazili said these weapons pose a threat to United Nations and humanitarian organization flights.

He added that the forces have recently detected Iranian weapons being directed at civilian planes with new technologies and tactics.

The threat to air routes over the southern Red Sea requires action from the International Civil Aviation Organization and the International Air Transport Association.
