Trump: Iran conflict could end before or after US midterms

US President Donald Trump said Iran is seeking a deal at any cost, adding that he "does not expect to reach an imperfect agreement with Iran."

According to Al Arabiya, Trump reiterated his stance that Tehran will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, noting that the conflict with Iran could end either before or after the US midterm elections.

Trump also addressed the Russia-Ukraine war, stressing that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should stop targeting oil facilities in Russia.

Meanwhile, earlier today, the Iranian president stated that "the region will not enjoy security as long as US forces remain," urging regional countries to engage in dialogue and make their own security decisions.

The Iranian president also hinted at the possible reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, saying this would depend on Washington lifting its naval blockade and halting military attacks on Iranian ports.
