Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed that US warships are no longer present in the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf of Oman, or the northern Indian Ocean, despite US assertions that it maintains control over the strategic waterway.

Ali Fadavi, a senior commander in the Revolutionary Guard, said US forces have withdrawn more than 1,000 kilometers from Iran’s borders, attributing the move to the strength of the Guard’s ground forces.

Speaking to state television, Fadavi added that, for the first time, US warships are absent from the Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf of Oman, and the northern Indian Ocean.

He also asserted that Iran has maintained control over the strait for several months, and claimed the United States has failed to achieve its objectives during the conflict.

Fadavi noted that Tehran, in cooperation with Muscat, has established and is currently enforcing navigation rules in the Strait of Hormuz, despite Washington’s attempts to influence the situation in the region.

He further warned that vessels using the southern part of the strait could face action from Iranian armed forces at any moment.

Meanwhile, data from Kpler, a maritime analytics firm, showed that oil exports from the Middle East—excluding Iran—surpassed pre-war levels last week, despite attacks targeting tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.

The weekly average flow of non-Iranian crude oil from Gulf states and Iraq through Hormuz rose for several consecutive days, exceeding the pre-war rate of 18 million barrels per day.

Iran continues to claim control over the strait, while the United States maintains a naval blockade on Iranian ports, and non-Iranian oil tankers are increasingly transiting the strait under US protection.
