Kremlin hopes US election results will not deter Trump’s Ukraine peace efforts

The Kremlin has reiterated its hope that US President Donald Trump will continue his efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine following the results of the congressional midterm elections.

Commenting on the US election outcome, in which Democrats gained ground over Trump’s Republican Party, the Kremlin said it hopes the results will not discourage President Donald Trump from pursuing peace in Ukraine, according to Asharq Bloomberg.

It is worth noting that the Democratic Party made unprecedented gains in the congressional midterm elections, regaining control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate by winning seats in states long held by Republicans.
