Netanyahu tells UN: Major change in Iran only a matter of time

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a sharp attack on Iran and several Western countries during his speech to the United Nations General Assembly, stating that targeting Iran's nuclear facilities was the easiest decision he had made, and rejecting accusations of genocide in Gaza.

Netanyahu said Israel is fighting on seven fronts to counter attempts at its destruction, adding, "If we had not struck Iran, we would be among the dead today." He claimed Israel had crushed Iran's naval and air capabilities, and asserted that it is only a matter of time before a major change occurs inside Iran.

Netanyahu thanked former US President Donald Trump, calling him "the greatest partner," while criticizing France and Britain, saying: "Enough lies, you colonized the world."

Responding to Syria's remarks on the occupied Golan Heights, Netanyahu told Damascus that the Golan belongs to Israel, claiming that Jews have been present in the Golan since the time of Moses.

Netanyahu defended Israeli actions in Gaza and the West Bank, arguing that Israel had avoided committing genocide, describing settler violence in the West Bank as "legitimate self-defense," and warning of what he called a threat to Jews in New York following Zohran Mamdani's assumption of city leadership.
