Trump says US in final stages of conflict with Iran

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the United States is "in the final stages of the war with Iran," in his latest comments on the ongoing conflict between the two sides.

Trump added that he wants Kevin Warsh to be independent, and described the current interest rate as "too high," saying it does not reflect the true state of the economy.

He noted that interest rates in the United States should be at one percent or lower, adding that they should be cut quickly.

In a separate context, the US president said he would impose high tariffs if the European Union approves Canada's membership.
