Trump holds war room meetings amid possible military intervention: analyst

Political analyst Tarek Al-Shami said that US President Donald Trump is holding meetings in the war room.

Speaking in an interview with Al Arabiya FM, Al-Shami added that the meetings focus on discussing new developments that may require military intervention, coinciding with warnings issued to American citizens in the Middle East.

Al-Shami noted that Trump’s sudden return to the White House from Camp David came earlier than his originally scheduled arrival in Washington on Sunday. However, so far, there has been no indication from the White House, the US State Department, or the Pentagon that any military action is imminent.

He continued that the warnings from Washington to its citizens in the Middle East, and the possible closure of airspace in several locations, suggest that the United States may be preparing for potential military tensions.
