Russia-Ukraine conflict now targets economic and logistical infrastructure, analyst says

Ramadan Ourag, head of the Aurès Center for Strategic Studies, said the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has moved beyond the military front.

Speaking in an interview with Al Arabiya FM, Ourag explained that both sides are now seeking to destroy each other's economic and logistical capabilities.

He added that the current focus is on targeting supply lines that support military operations, such as energy facilities and information centers that provide intelligence to defensive lines. As a result, the war has shifted to targeting critical infrastructure.

Ourag noted that Russia is now concentrating on disrupting any communication between Ukraine and the West, making its recent strikes particularly sensitive for Kyiv. Conversely, Ukraine aims to create political instability inside Russia by imposing energy shortages.
