Yemeni leadership council member: Our priority is restoring the state and eradicating terror groups

Sultan Al-Arada, a member of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, said the current priority is to restore the state and purge Yemen of all terrorist organizations, foremost among them the Houthi militia.

Speaking in an interview aired on Al-Hadath TV, Al-Arada stated that Yemen has reached an impasse with these militias, which insist on dragging the country back into war through their ideology and allegiance to Iran. He stressed that cleansing Yemen of such groups is an irreversible commitment, as it reflects the will of the people.

He added that recent events on the coast are temporary and have specific circumstances, occurring as part of ongoing offensives and counteroffensives. However, these will not deter efforts to retake Sanaa. The causes are being discussed with commanders, but setbacks and victories are a normal part of warfare. Al-Arada described the conflict as a sacred battle to restore the state in the face of a militia beholden to foreign interests.

The Yemeni army continues to fight to liberate areas seized by the Iran-backed Houthi militias across various fronts, while taking necessary measures to protect civilians and ensure their safety.
