Defector reveals strict training for officials before meeting North Korea's Kim

North Korean defector and former diplomat Lee Il Gyu has revealed the strict procedures that officials in North Korea must follow before meeting the country's leader, Kim Jong Un. These include intensive training and meticulous instructions to avoid any mistakes during the encounter.

According to a report by the Daily Express, Lee explained that officials are instructed not to stare at the leader’s face or interrupt him under any circumstances, and are required to maintain calm and composed behavior throughout the meeting.

He noted that even an inadvertent mistake in Kim's presence can result in immediate punishment and harsh criticism sessions, with every word and reaction being carefully documented.

Lee added that the purpose of these measures is to prevent flattery or pretense and to ensure accuracy in conversation, under the pretext of "documenting the history of the revolution." This makes meeting the leader an extremely sensitive experience for officials.
