Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warns of ‘intense fire’ if US or Israel attacks

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced it "will not hesitate or tolerate in any way" any US or Israeli attack targeting Iranian territory or sovereignty, claiming to have received "confirmed military intelligence" indicating intentions to strike sensitive sites in Tehran.

In a statement, the Revolutionary Guard warned that adversaries "will witness the unexpected and will be surprised by the scale of the intense and concentrated fire" unleashed in response to any attack.

The statement comes as US midterm elections are held on Tuesday, and follows an Associated Press report that US officials have informed regional countries to prepare for possible military action against Iran after the elections, which could last several days, although President Donald Trump has yet to make a final decision.
