Israeli artillery targets western Daraa and Yarmouk Basin in Syria

Israeli forces shelled areas in western Daraa countryside and the Yarmouk Basin in southern Syria with artillery and machine-gun fire early Monday, with no reports of civilian casualties.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the shelling targeted the Abdin and Raqad valleys with several artillery rounds, while the outskirts of Jumla village in the Yarmouk Basin area were also hit. Additionally, gunfire was reported from an Israeli position along the 1974 disengagement line toward the outskirts of Abdin town.

The incident follows Israeli shelling on Sunday that targeted the forested area near the village of Beer Ajam and the vicinity of Al-Rafid town in the Quneitra countryside with multiple artillery rounds.
