Stable Syria vital for Gulf security, says Syrian FM

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Sheibani emphasized the importance of Syria's stability for the security of the Gulf region.

In remarks to Asharq Bloomberg, he said a stable Syria is vital for Gulf security and represents a positive and secure influence.

He added that Syria has not reached exhaustion in negotiations with Israel, and that Syrian-Jordanian relations are deep and strong, though there has been haste in clarifying developments at the Syria-Jordan border.

The Syrian foreign minister continued, saying that Damascus will be part of the regional defense security framework.
