Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force stated on Telegram today that its air defense forces shot down 107 out of 131 drones launched by Russia during an overnight aerial attack targeting northern, southern, central, and eastern Ukraine.
The statement added that the attack was repelled by air defense units, electronic warfare teams, drones, and mobile fire groups from the Ukrainian Air Force and Air Defense Forces.
Separately, the Ukrainian military announced today that the number of Russian military casualties since the start of the war in Ukraine in February 2022 has risen to about 1,442,140, including 1,560 killed or wounded in the past 24 hours. This was stated in a report published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the report, posted on the official X account of the General Staff, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 12,226 tanks, 25,038 armored combat vehicles, 46,902 artillery systems, 1,970 multiple launch rocket systems, and 1,519 air defense systems since the war began.
The statement also said that 439 warplanes, 354 helicopters, 431,310 drones, 4,950 cruise missiles, 34 warships, two submarines, 126,850 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 4,476 units of special equipment have been destroyed.
