Trump says US will strike Iran in response to attacks on Jordan

Former US President Donald Trump said the United States will launch strikes against Iran in response to attacks that targeted Jordan.

Trump added that yesterday's Iranian attack on Jordan was unexpected, but that the US would respond forcefully, according to Al-Sharq.

Earlier, the official spokesperson for the Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that air defenses, as part of their monitoring and response system, intercepted and shot down five missiles launched from Iran toward Jordanian territory early Wednesday, in accordance with established rules of engagement.
