Trump says US to launch strikes on Iran after attacks targeting Jordan

Former US President Donald Trump said the United States will launch strikes against Iran in response to attacks that targeted Jordan.

Trump added that Iran's attack on Jordan yesterday was unexpected, but that the US would respond forcefully, according to Al-Sharq.

Earlier, the official spokesperson for the Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that air defenses, as part of their monitoring and response system, intercepted five missiles launched from Iran toward Jordanian territory early Wednesday, successfully shooting them down in accordance with established engagement protocols.
