Political analyst Tarek Al-Shami said the United States is continuing to tighten its economic blockade on Iran while also building up forces for a possible military strike.

Speaking to Al Arabiya FM, he added that the maritime blockade alone may not be sufficient, as US reports indicate Iran is seeking to bypass restrictions by activating alternative land and sea routes, including through the Caspian Sea. He noted that, according to these reports, Tehran has already acquired advanced weaponry from Russia, for example. This escalation by the US, described as the "iron gate," aims to demonstrate that Iran will not be able to evade sanctions, with Washington prepared to destroy whatever it deems necessary.

He continued that the task will not be easy, as Iran has more than seventy land crossings and about 3,000 kilometers of land and sea borders along the Caspian. However, the US is attempting to renew pressure on Iran to weaken its capabilities and, at the same time, make the ruling regime more vulnerable and aware that it cannot continue in this way for long.
