Vaccines approved in Saudi Arabia are safe and effective, says Health Spokesperson

Spokesman of the Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdulaali, stressed that the ministry is still observing fluctuations in the registration of confirmed and critical cases.

Al-Abdulaali noted the importance of complying with the precautionary measures, which would lead to stronger control of positive approaches to combat the pandemic.

During a press conference he held today, the spokesperson urged the public to take the vaccine through Sehaty App, reiterating that the vaccines approved in the Kingdom are safe and effective.

He said that the number of those who have received the Coronavirus vaccine has reached 1,706,455 individuals at nearly 500 the vaccine centers across the Kingdom.

He noted that the Kingdom is very keen on selecting the safest and most effective vaccines, noting that the vaccination process has expanded to vaccinate people at their homes.

Al-Abdulaali announced that the Kingdom reported 390 new cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 381,348, including 2,947 active cases currently receiving necessary medical care. Of these, 538 are classified as critical cases.

He said that 267 patients have recovered, bringing the total recovery cases to 371,850.

Meanwhile, the total number of deaths has reached 6,551, with six new deaths reported today, according to Al-Abdulaali.

According to the spokesperson, a total of 7,900,974 tests have been carried out since the pandemic started in 2020, in addition to providing services to 2,082,327 individuals with 29,142,384 medical and health consultations offered to the public through the 937 Service Center.

He added that the total number of tests amounts to 14,175,803 tests.
