The United States of America threatened a visa ban on the crew of Iranian tanker "Grace 1", citing that its crewmembers belong to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and support them.
State Department said in a statement that Grace 1 was assisting IRGC — which the US deems a terrorist organization — by transporting oil from Iran to Syria.
"Crewmembers of vessels assisting the IRGCby transporting oil from Iran may be ineligible for entry visas to the UnitedStates under the US terrorism-related inadmissibility grounds," the statementfurther said.
The State Department concluded its statement by saying that the United States will continue to use all the tools at its disposal to deprive Iran and its agents of the resources they need to engage in malicious and destabilizing activities in Syria and elsewhere, including full implementation of U.S. sanctions regarding Iran and IRGC.
