Tunisia's speaker of house of representatives Mohammed Al-Nasser was sworn-in here today as care-taker President of Tunisia, pending a presidential elections.
Upon being notified of the death of President of the Republic Beji Caid Essebsi earlier today, the parliament decided to assign Al-Nasser to take care of the presidency affairs until a presidential election is held.
Following the oath-taking, Al-Nasser called on his people to remain committed to the national unity and the country's constitution.
