US President Donald Trump signed heretoday a host of executive orders imposing new and tough sanctions on Iran.
President Trump told reporters, atthe White House, that "the new sanctions come in response to the downingof a US drone," he said, however, he ruled out US pursuit of a conflictwith Iran, declaring preference for reaching an agreement.
"We have exercised restrainttowards Iran, but that does not mean that we will remain so in thefuture," he added, stressing that Iran is not allowed to possess nuclearweapons and that Iran's path is devastating.
