For the first time ever, Saudi Arabia opens the post of "Notary Public" for Saudi women.
The SaudiArabian Ministry of Justice has announced the need to fill a number of jobs forwomen as "Notary Public" in the seventh rank, to work in notarization offices invarious regions of Saudi Arabia, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency "SPA".
This step comes after the directives of the Saudi Minister of Justice, Sheikh Dr. Walid bin Mohammad Al-Sama'ani to allow the employment of women as a notary public to facilitate each female beneficiary of the notarization services. In line with Saudi Arabia's vision 2030, this step targets the expansion of women's empowerment in the judicial facility. The Ministry has recently appointed many qualified women in the fields of law, shari'a, management, and technology for the first time.
TheMinistry of Justice indicated that the submission of jobs will be announced asof tomorrow to be lasted for a week, according to the relevant conditions,through the Ministry's electronic portal.
According to Al Arabiya, the female notary publics will be appointed in the main cities of Saudi Arabia as a first step and then move to other cities in the Kingdom.
The fields of work of the female notary publics will be similar to the work of the male notary publics in the legitimate power of attorneys, the wills, the waiver of inheritance if it is not a real estate, guarantees, modification of names, registration of corporate contracts, real estate vacations, and other services. The selection of female notary publics will be limited to female graduates of Shari'a colleges.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Minister of Justice, Sheikh Dr. Walid bin Mohammad Al-Sama'ani, has first-ever opened the field of employment to the Saudi women in the Ministry of Justice to work in four functional areas in 2017.
