Oman's Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik's visit to Saudi Arabia as his first foreign destination; and his upcoming meetings with King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman reflect the depth of the historic relations; between the two countries and their citizens, said Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Oman Abdullah Bin Saud Al-Enezi on Friday.

In a press statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA); the Saudi ambassador said that the visit is a historic moment for the two countries to formulate a common vision in developing economic relations. Besides, forging a distinguished economic partnership.

He pointed out that the consensus on political and economic vision between Saudi Arabia and Oman serves as an example in the region of the wisdom of the leadership of the two countries and the profound interdependence of their citizens, pointing to the convergence of the Saudi Vision 2030 and Oman Vision 2040, which aim to diversify sources of income other than oil, increase investments and create more jobs.

Al-Enezi also drew attention to the fact that the trade exchange between the two countries witnessed a remarkable rise in recent years; noting Oman's bid to support the economy through the formation of partnerships and joint and strong economic entities.

He pointed out that Saudi investors currently own and participate in 140 individual institutions; established in the Sultanate with an aim to diversify the country's economy. Besides, promoting economic growth in the tourism sector, maritime transport and manufacturing industries.
