Sultan Qaboos, Sultan of Oman, hosted in Muscat on Monday the Saudi Deputy Defense Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman.
They discussed bilateral relations and the firm joint positions of Saudi Arabia and Oman on maintaining security and stability in the region, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Prince Khalid praised the Sultan’s efforts and continuous support for cooperation between Riyadh and Muscat.
It’s noteworthy that the meeting was attended by a number of senior officials from the two countries. Sultan Qaboos threw dinner banquet in honor of Prince Khalid and his accompanying delegation.
The Saudi Minister held separate talks with Oman’s Minister of Defense affairs, Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al-Busaeedi and Minister for Sultan’s Bureau Affairs, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Numani. Their discussions focused on bilateral relations, efforts to protect their common borders and counter terrorism and extremism, and ways to support the two country’s current military cooperation.
