The president of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC), Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, signed in Riyadh today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with French National Olympic Committee (CNOSF) President David Lappartient.

The purpose of the MoU is to strengthen bilateral relations and promote sports and Olympic cooperation between the two committees. It also aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise and sports knowledge, contributing to the administrative and technical development of both sides.

The MoU marks the first of its kind between the SOPC and the CNOSF and the eighth in the history of the French committee.

The MoU’s significance is heightened by France’s upcoming hosting of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The agreement will allow the Saudi team, present in Paris, to closely observe the organization of these mega sports events.

Lappartient expressed his delight in signing the MoU with the SOPC, considering it a golden opportunity to establish joint projects, promote greater societal integration of sports, and enhance bilateral relations between the two committees.

Prior to the signing, Lappartient attended the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Camel Festival, commending the outstanding organization of this grand race.
