Al-Nassr close to signing Portugal's Samu Costa to replace Brozovic

Al-Nassr are nearing a deal to sign Portuguese midfielder Samu Costa from Spanish club Real Mallorca.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on X on Wednesday that negotiations between Al-Nassr and Mallorca have reached their final stages, both with the Spanish club and the player's representatives.

Romano noted that Costa, 25, has given the Saudi club the green light to proceed, despite receiving European offers, most notably from Germany's RB Leipzig.

Costa has represented Portugal internationally and has made 132 La Liga appearances for Mallorca and Almeria.

Samu Costa is valued at around €15 million, according to player valuation site Transfermarkt.

Al-Nassr's move for Costa comes as they look to replace veteran Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
