Saudi Arabia defeat Oman 3-0 to reach Gulf Cup semi-finals

Saudi Arabia's national football team claimed a convincing 3-0 victory over Oman on Saturday evening in the second round of the group stage at the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup.

The Saudi side dominated from the outset, with Firas Al-Buraikan opening the scoring in the 11th minute before Hassan Kadesh doubled the lead in the 18th minute.

Al-Buraikan struck again in the 34th minute to make it 3-0, giving Saudi Arabia a comfortable lead at halftime, which they maintained until the final whistle.

With this result, Saudi Arabia earned three more points to strengthen their lead at the top of Group A and secure a place in the semi-finals of the Gulf Cup.

Saudi Arabia now have six points from two matches, having started their campaign with a 1-0 win over Kuwait before defeating Oman 3-0.

Oman remain on one point in third place after drawing 1-1 with Iraq in their opening match.

Midfielders: Alaa Al-Haji, Mohammed Kanno, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, Sultan Mandash, Hammam Al-Hamami.

Forward: Firas Al-Buraikan.
