

The camel races, organized within the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, concluded today after 7417 camels and 2034 Arab and foreign participants took place in the prestigious competition.
The festival organizers have allocated 65 rounds for the Al-Haqayeq Bakkar and Qaadan categories, competing in two morning and afternoon periods from a distance of 4 km.
The festival also allocated 50 rounds for the Al-Lagaya category, competing from a distance of 5 km, with 40 rounds allocated for Bakkar and Qaadan and 30 rounds for the Thanaya category, in addition to six marathon runs, and 28 runs for Heil and Zamoul categories. The winner of each race is awarded with SAR120,000, and the prizes are awarded in descending order until tenth place.
The race competitions included “Rmouz rounds” for the Al-Haqayeq, Al-Laqaya, Al-Jatha’a, and Al-Thanaya, “Bakkar and Qaadan” categories. The first-place winner in each round was awarded with SAR700,000, and the prizes were awarded in descending order until fifth place, which received SAR75,000.
As for the “Rmouz Zmoul” round, the winner of first place received SAR1.5 million and SAR3 million in the Rmouz Heil rounds, with prizes to be awarded in descending order until fifth place, which received SAR80,000.
