Nacho Fernandez praises life in Saudi Arabia and positive experience with Al-Qadsiah

Nacho Fernandez, defender for Al-Qadsiah, has said that his team is on the right track, describing his current experience in Saudi Arabia as positive and distinct from his previous career in Europe.

In an interview with Spanish newspaper AS, Nacho expressed that he is very happy in the Kingdom with his family, adding: "It is a completely different experience from anything I have had in my career, but I am at a club that is developing and competing with the best."

He continued: "I feel very comfortable because my children are happy at their British school. Life here is very calm, and I have no complaints. I miss Madrid a lot—my home, my friends, and my family—but I am fine, happy, and enjoying my time."

Nacho added that his wife leads a normal life while respecting local customs, stating: "We are foreigners, but the way I am treated and the way my family is treated everywhere... If you respect everyone here, you will not face any problems. Life is wonderful, although the weather is very hot in summer."

Al-Qadsiah competing with top clubs

Nacho pointed out that Al-Qadsiah is currently competing with what he described as the four biggest clubs in Saudi Arabia, noting that the team is progressing despite not having won any titles yet. He said: "It is true that we have not yet managed to win the league or any other title, but we are on the right path."

Regarding his upcoming participation, Nacho expressed his excitement for Al-Qadsiah's qualification for the AFC Champions League Elite this year, explaining that the tournament is different from the UEFA Champions League, but he is eager to experience it again.

In a related context, Nacho dismissed comparisons with his former Real Madrid teammates Cristiano Ronaldo or Luka Modric, emphasizing that every player has his own career path.
