Spain work to review monument security after Notre-Dame fire

Spainannounced Tuesday that they will review the security of its national monumentsas an "obvious consequence" to the fire that devastated Notre-Damecathedral in Paris.

"Thisis a warning," Culture Minister Jose Guirao told Spanish radio. "Thedanger always lies in antiquated electrical systems which have to bereviewed."

He gave no detailsas to what monuments would be covered.

The cause of the blaze in Paris is not yet known but Notre-Dame fire cathedral had been undergoing intense restoration work which the fire service said could be linked to the blaze.

Frenchprosecutors said it was being treated as an accident.

Guirao saidhe would talk to his French counterpart on Tuesday to see how Spain could helpafter the blaze.

"Rightnow, above all, it's about moral support, solidarity and from there, whateverthey need."
