Saudi King Salman Receives UNESCO Chief

King Salman bin Abdulaziz, met on Thursday with Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Audrey Azoulay, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

During the meeting, they reviewed UNESCO's prominent efforts and ways to enhance and develop cooperation between the Kingdom and the Organization in the fields of education, science, and culture, SPA said.

The audience was attended by Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Minister of Education Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh; and Assistant Special Secretary to King Salman Tamim bin Abdulaziz Al-Salem, the state-run agency added.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, also met with Azoulay.

During the meeting, they reviewed Saudi initiatives and programs in the field of culture and means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and UN's Sustainable Development Goals 2030, SPA said.
