Saudi FM Meets WFP Director, UN Officials in Riyadh

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held talks in Riyadh on Sunday with WFP Executive Director David Beasley.

Discussions focused on the joint cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the WFP and the Kingdom's efforts in supporting the program in easing the suffering of people around the globe.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the second Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum.

Prince Faisal also held separate meetings with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi and Executive Director of the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) Henrietta Fore.

The FM also met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock.

They discussed the relief and humanitarian efforts exerted by the UN and Saudi Arabia. Besides, the Kingdom's contribution in supporting peaceful solutions to crises.

Also on Sunday, Prince Faisal met with Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Antonio Vitorino.
