Saudi Crown Prince, Trump Discuss Global Energy Markets

US President Donald Trump spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in a call; to discuss global energy markets, among other issues, the White House said on Tuesday.

The President and the Crown Prince also discussed on Monday; "global energy markets and other critical regional and bilateral issues," White House spokesman Judd Deere said.

His statement came as Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said on Tuesday; he does not see a need to hold an OPEC+ meeting in May-June. Especially, if there was no agreement on the measures to deal with the impact of coronavirus on oil demand and prices.

Prince Abdulaziz said every oil producer needs to maintain its market share, after Russian energy minister Alexander Novak earlier said that discounts offered by Saudi Aramco for its oil have led to panic in the market.
