Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, received a telephone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin, SPA reported.

During the phone conversation; they reviewed efforts to stabilize energy markets to support the growth of the global economy, SPA said Friday.

They also stressed the importance of cooperation among all oil producing countries for that purpose, the news agency added.

A three-year deal between OPEC and Russia broke down last month. After Moscow declined to support bigger output curbs, arguing that it was too early to estimate the coronavirus pandemic's impact.

Based on contacts "we see that if the number of OPEC+ members will increase and other countries will join there is a possibility of a joint agreement to balance oil markets," said Dmitriev.
