Saudi Arabia’s Post Documents Most Major Events in 2020 through 18 Stamps

The Saudi Arabia's Post has documented many national and international events through the issuance of 18 postage stamps.

The postage stamps for 2020 documented many historical events, most notably the 75th anniversary of the Arab League, 20th anniversary of King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), as well as the stamps on the occasion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's presidency of the G20, which were produced for the first time via an interactive technology. The issued stamps included one for Saudi Airlines and another on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) establishment.

The Saudi Post also issued stamps on the occasion of International Day of People with Disabilities and the first International Conference on Giftedness and Creativity that was held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Saudi Post issued stamps for King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) that bears "Towards an Unrestricted Humanity" message, in addition to two stamps for national occasions, the first on 90th Saudi National Day and the second on the capital, Riyadh, the Arab Digital Capital.

As for sporting events, it issued a stamp for Horse Race (The World's Most Valuable Horse Race) and for Dakar Rally.

Other general occasions were documented, including Haramain High Speed Railway, Taif Roses, Falcons, Hajj 1441 AH (The Health and Safety of Muslims is Our Priority), in addition to another postage stamp marking Eid.

The Saudi Post considers postage stamps one of the most important features and evidence of development that embody and document the events and occasions of countries and peoples.
