Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Environment launches “Agricultural Extension” Platform

Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdul Rahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli inaugurated today the activities of the “Saudi Agricultural Exhibition 2019” in its 38th edition, which will last until 24th of this month, at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center, with the participation of 9 international pavilions and 380 exhibitors representing 34 countries.

Held under the slogan “Agricultural Innovation for a Better Life”, this year’s exhibition aims to promote the agricultural sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The exhibition provides an opportunity for local and international companies to display their latest innovations, machinery and products that will lead to the development of the agricultural sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the exhibition, “Agricultural Extension” platform was launched to support farmers in different regions in the Kingdom by providing agricultural consultancy services immediately and through mobile application.

This platform comes as part of the efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the digital transformation and development of electronic services being provided to beneficiaries, in order to raise the efficiency of work.
