Saudi Arabia’s KSrelief provides food baskets, medical assistance in several countries

Saudi Arabia's King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), the humanitarian and relief arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has extended urgent food assistance to the needy in Bangladesh, Yemen, and provided medical services and treatment for others in Yemen and Jordan.

Theconsignment, including relief assistance worth SR2.7 million and benefitingmore than 119,000 needy Bangladeshi and Rohingya in Bangladesh, was deliveredto the authorities concerned in Bangladesh in the attendance of Saudiambassador in Dhaka Saud Al-Gahanna and senior Bangladeshi officials, alongsidethe Director Human Rights Commission Ibrahim Bani, who is also member of theparliament and senior officials.

As much as1600 cartoons of dates were distributed over the needy in villages of Hirandirectorate of Hijja province of Yemen, benefiting some 9600 persons, it wasreported.

KSrelief has distributed 740 food baskets weighing 54.760 tons in Mefa'a directorate, Shabwa province of Yemen, benefiting 4440 persons as part of a project to distribute 102170 food baskets in several provinces of Yemen.

In themedical field, KSrelief has dedicated the Dialysis Center in Yemeni city ofAl-Dhale'a, in the attendance of the Yemeni minister of public health andpopulation Dr. Nasser Baoom and senior officials.

On the otherhand, KSrelief clinics in Jordan have provided medical services and treatmentfor 14428 patients in Al-Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees in Jordan duringApril 2019.
