Saudi Arabia's Prince Khalid bin Salman binAbdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense, received in here today, the visiting USAssistant Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale.
At the beginning of the meeting, the DeputyDefense Minister commended the deep historical and strategic relations betweenthe Kingdom and the United States, stressing the importance of thatrelationship in the service of regional and international security and peace,and to achieve the interests of the two peoples.
During the meeting, Prince Khalid bin Salmanand the US official reviewed the various aspects of cooperation between the twocountries and ways of enhancing them in all fields.
They also discussed the latest regional andinternational developments, joint efforts in combating terrorism and supportingsecurity and stability in the region in order to avoid external threats andinterference.
Talks also dealt with the latest situations inYemen and the role of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in enhancing Yemen'smilitary, political and humanitarian security and stability.
The US Assistant Secretary of State forPolitical Affairs reiterated his country's support for diplomatic efforts topush the political process in Yemen being mediated by the United Nations,hailing the strong relations between the Kingdom and the United States and thecommitment of the two countries to work together to confront Iran's hostilebehavior in the region and their quest to enhance security and stability.
