Saudi leaders offer condolences to Indonesia over Java Sea ferry tragedy

King Salman bin Abdulaziz sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia following the loss of life in a ferry sinking in the Java Sea.

The King said: "We learned of the sinking of a ferry in the Java Sea in Indonesia, and the resulting deaths and missing persons. We extend to Your Excellency, to the families of the deceased, and to the people of Indonesia our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy. We pray that God grants mercy and forgiveness to the deceased, patience and comfort to their families, and the safe return of the missing to their loved ones. May God protect you and the people of Indonesia from all harm."

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman also sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to President Prabowo Subianto over the victims of the ferry sinking in the Java Sea.

The Crown Prince said: "I received the news of the ferry sinking in the Java Sea in Indonesia, and the resulting deaths and missing persons. I extend to Your Excellency and to the families of the deceased my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, asking God to have mercy on the deceased and to return the missing safely to their families."
