Saudi, Indian foreign ministers discuss strengthening ties at BRICS 2026 summit

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Indian Minister of External Affairs Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Thursday in New Delhi, on the sidelines of the BRICS 2026 summit.

The meeting reviewed the growing and developing relations between Saudi Arabia and India across various fields, and explored opportunities to enhance cooperation in ways that serve the shared interests of both countries and their peoples.

The two ministers also discussed recent regional and international developments, and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern. They emphasized the importance of continued consultation and coordination to support efforts aimed at promoting security and stability, and finding political and diplomatic solutions to current challenges and crises.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to India, Haitham Al-Malki, and Director General of the General Department of Asian Countries, Ambassador Nasser Al-Ghanoum.
