Civil Defense declares end of danger in Jazan region

Saudi Civil Defense has announced that the danger in the Jazan region has passed, in a notice addressed to citizens and residents.

The Civil Defense urged the public to continue following its safety instructions and to avoid gathering or taking photos at any time.

Earlier, the National Emergency Warning Platform had issued an alert in Jazan warning of potential danger, according to the Civil Defense.

The directorate had stressed the importance of staying calm, following official instructions, remaining indoors, moving to an internal room or a safe place away from windows, and not leaving homes or buildings until the danger had passed.

Guidelines also included staying away from open areas and glass, avoiding balconies and rooftops, and for those outside, seeking shelter in the nearest building or behind a solid barrier.

The directorate also emphasized avoiding gatherings and photography entirely, and staying away from hazardous locations. If a warning message is received while driving, it advised pulling over safely away from bridges and tall buildings.

The directorate urged people to call the emergency number (911) in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (998) in other regions of the Kingdom if any danger is observed. It also stressed the importance of following instructions from official authorities through their designated channels.
