Saudi crown prince, Pakistan PM discuss regional tensions and de-escalation efforts

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call on Monday from Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

During the call, the two leaders discussed recent developments in the region and ongoing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote security and stability.

Prime Minister Sharif condemned attacks against Saudi Arabia by the Houthi militia and strongly denounced violations of the Kingdom's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He reaffirmed Pakistan's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, expressing support for the Kingdom's security and condemning attacks targeting vital oil infrastructure.

Praise for restraint and Iraq's mediation

Sharif commended Saudi Arabia's restraint and its support for the Iraqi government's efforts to prevent its territory from being used to launch attacks against the Kingdom and neighboring countries.
