Civil Defense urges caution as severe weather hits parts of Asir

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged the public to exercise caution and follow safety instructions due to the current weather conditions affecting the Asir region, following a red alert issued by the National Center for Meteorology.

In a statement on its official X account, the directorate noted that the region is experiencing heavy rainfall and called on residents to take maximum precautions, avoid areas where water accumulates, and stay away from valleys and dams to ensure public safety.

The Civil Defense also emphasized the importance of adhering to safety guidelines during rainfall and warned against attempting to cross floodwaters.
