Jazan municipality prepares over 200,000 decorations for Saudi National Day

Jazan Municipality and its affiliated local councils have announced their preparations for the Kingdom’s 96th National Day, which include more than 200,000 decorative elements and national-themed installations at sites, squares, and public facilities throughout the region.

Spokesman for Jazan Municipality Dr. Ibrahim Al-Khayyat said the plan covers preparations at 23 celebration venues and upgrades to 500 parks, as well as decorating 50 municipal facilities and 450 commercial establishments to welcome residents and visitors during the national occasion.

He added that the preparations involve installing 50,000 flags along streets, 3,000 decorative models, 30,000 ornamental spotlights, and adorning 15,000 light poles. Additionally, 1,000 congratulatory banners will be displayed, creating a festive atmosphere across roads, squares, parks, and public spaces in cities and governorates of the region.

Al-Khayyat noted that the plan is being carried out with the participation of 10,000 employees and 10,000 volunteers, and includes distributing 100,000 gifts as part of the accompanying programs. These efforts aim to prepare facilities, parks, and public spaces, enriching the experience for residents and visitors alike.

These preparations will enhance the readiness of Jazan’s tourism and entertainment sites, highlight the diversity of its destinations and facilities during National Day, and create an environment that welcomes visitors while blending leisure with expressions of national pride and identity.
