Qaed Sayer Al-Anazi, his brother Dakhil, and his son Salman successfully offered a young shaheen falcon for auction in the Al-Dabdaba area near Hafar Al-Batin at 7:30 a.m., completing the process in just 15 minutes. The falcon fetched SAR 111,000 during the thirteenth night of the National Falcon Auction.

Al-Anazi described the experience as exceptional, especially since it was his first time participating in the auction. He noted that this was his third successful time offering falcons, recalling an event 18 years ago when he put up a falcon with remarkable dimensions—16 inches long and 16 inches wide—which he sold at the time for only SAR 25,000.

"If that falcon were offered at the National Falcon Auction today, its price would exceed half a million riyals. The auction has created a suitable environment that ensures fair prices for falcons amid competition and transparency," Al-Anazi said.

He explained that they contacted the National Falcon Center immediately after the offering, which initiated a series of services and support provided by the center, including transportation for the falconers and the bird, accommodation, meals, and facilitating the sale through the auction platform.

Al-Anazi emphasized that the auction's organized environment allows falconers to present their birds to interested buyers and gives them the opportunity to receive fair value through competition. He noted that this experience reflects the transformation in falcon sales compared to previous years.

Comparing a SAR 25,000 deal 18 years ago to the SAR 111,000 sale at this year's auction, Al-Anazi believes that the auction's organization, transparent bidding, and services for falconers are key factors in supporting falconry, boosting practitioners' confidence, and preserving this traditional heritage.

He concluded by thanking the National Falcon Center for its services and support, affirming that his first auction participation was a valuable experience.
