Saudi foreign minister: Kingdom's security is non-negotiable

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan stated that Gulf countries will not accept any attacks on their territories under any pretext, warning that continued escalation in the region is expanding the scope of confrontation.

Speaking at the 2026 BRICS Summit in New Delhi, he added that ongoing escalation in the region broadens the conflict, emphasizing the need for a more open partnership that meets the aspirations of developing nations for a more stable future.

According to Al Arabiya, the foreign minister stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia is non-negotiable, and that the stability of the Arabian Gulf is an international matter tied to the health of the global economy, which can only be maintained by respecting the sovereignty of its states.

Bin Farhan also underlined the importance of de-escalation to allow for political and diplomatic efforts and to reach a formula that safeguards the Kingdom's security and interests.
