Saudi Navy to host fourth international maritime forum in Riyadh in November 2026

Under the patronage of Minister of Defense Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Royal Saudi Naval Forces will organize the fourth Saudi International Maritime Forum in Riyadh from November 23 to 25, 2026. The event will bring together leading naval commanders, decision-makers, experts, and representatives from the industrial and technology sectors.

The forum, held under the theme "The Future of Seabed Security and Supply Chains in a Changing Global Environment," will address rapid changes in the maritime domain and growing threats to critical underwater infrastructure, including subsea cables and energy pipelines, which are vital for the digital economy and the sustainability of global trade.

Through its sessions and specialized activities, the forum will discuss key topics such as shifts in the global strategic environment and their impact on the security of maritime supply chains, as well as threats targeting energy supply lines.

Other topics include seabed security and the protection of underwater infrastructure, maritime transport security challenges, and solutions and technologies to safeguard marine systems and enhance their operational efficiency. The role of artificial intelligence and modern technologies in supporting maritime security will also be highlighted.

Preparations for the forum are ongoing, with supervisory and organizing committees working according to a comprehensive plan. This includes developing the scientific program, coordinating participation from government, military, and international entities, accepting applications from specialized global institutions, and finalizing all logistical and technical arrangements.

International organizations from more than 40 countries have confirmed their participation, reinforcing the forum’s status as a global platform for knowledge exchange, partnership building, and the development of shared perspectives on contemporary maritime challenges.

The forum reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening maritime security as a cornerstone of regional and international stability, and underscores its role as an active partner in safeguarding vital seas and maritime corridors, while promoting international cooperation in the maritime sector.
