Ethiopian national arrested in Jazan for smuggling 80 kg of khat

Border Guard ground patrols in the Al-Dayer sector of Jazan region have arrested an Ethiopian national for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 80 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's official X platform account, initial legal procedures have been completed, and the suspect and seized materials have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or 999 in other regions of the Kingdom.
