Ethiopian national arrested for smuggling hashish in Asir

Border Guard land patrols in the Dhahran Al-Janoub sector of Asir have arrested an Ethiopian national for violating border security regulations by smuggling 35 kilograms of hashish.

According to a statement posted on the Border Guard's official X account, initial legal procedures have been completed, and the suspect and the seized drugs have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of Saudi Arabia. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995, or via email at (Email:[email protected]). All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
